The Venue

Fort Nelson

Fort Nelson

Fort Nelson is a beautiful Victorian military fort above Portsmouth city. As well as a lovely set of cosy rooms to ourselves all day we have options for places to change or have quiet time, or go for a guided walk through the massive collection of historical guns or spooky tunnels - no really! If that sounds fun bring some comfy shoes or trainers

Arriving at the venue

Go to the main reception and make yourself known. The team will guide you into our sneaky private rooms! Particularly fun in the evening as the fort will be closed, pretty fun for 'night at the museum vibes'.

Getting Here

Fort Nelson, Portsdown Hill, Portchester, Fareham, PO17 6AN

Parking

There's a large car park at the fort so no problem at all to bring your vehicle. There's some disabled parking near the main visitor entrance

Taxis

  • Uber are simple enough to use in the area I believe

  • Aquacars basically a monopoly so it is what it is 02392654321

  • Blaven Cars never used them, good reviews, try your luck!

Staying Here

1 Southampton Road, North Harbour, Cosham, PO6 4SA

Premier Inn - North Harbour

We are pointing everyone in this direction as it's fairly easy to the fort from here, a fair price and you know what to expect with a Premier Inn.

Lots of guests are staying here and we plan to book for breakfast so maybe we will see you there!
